Health Department, CoxHealth offers vaccination clinics as COVID-19 cases rise in Greene County

As COVID-19 cases rise in southwest Missouri, CoxHealth is reaching out to rural residents to offer COVID-19 vaccines.

Thirteen vaccination clinics will be held through the end of June in several small towns in the Ozarks.

CoxHealth President and CEO Steve Edwards said in a statement on the hospital’s website Friday that COVID-19-related hospitalizations are increasing. As of Friday morning, there were 20 hospitalized patients positive for COVID-19 at CoxHealth, he said.

The clinics are funded by a grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration.
Springfield-Greene County Health Department Vaccination Clinics

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is also offering COVID-19 vaccination clinics this week.

Anyone who receives a first or second dose or a first booster will receive a $50 gift card while supplies last. Details of free clinics are below.
