magicpin: Magicpin launches 45-minute pharmacy delivery services for customers

magic pin launched a 45-minute delivery service for drugs and other pharmacy items. As part of its transversal dynamic in hyperlocal commerce; Magicpin service aims to provide fast delivery and customer-friendly experience. Launched in 2015, Gurugram-based startup Magicpin helps connect offline retailers to online customers through an app. Its proprietary technology claims to enable the discovery of places and products in and around an area simply by pinning a location.
The 45-minute service is currently available in 15 cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Jaipur. The company is planning to expand the same across India in some time.
The Magicpin application, available on Android and Apple iOS, displays in-store deals and products, which users can then buy in-store or have delivered to their homes. It is backed by renowned investors such as Lightspeed, Zomato, Waterbridge and Google. In November 2021, magicpin raised $60m in a Series D funding round to bolster its hyperlocal retail market expansion. Currently, the brand’s network includes 6.5 million active users and 900,000 merchant partners in over 50 cities in India.
“When it comes to medicines, timing is everything. We are building this category with speed and timeliness in mind. Existing services can require customers to wait between 2 hours and 2 days for their prescription to be delivered to their doorstep. .It’s not ideal to do when someone is unwell. We build pharmacy delivery on the backbone of existing local pharmacies. We don’t build dark stores or do inventory, but let’s create magic by putting our technology on top of the existing retail ecosystem,” said Anshoo SharmaCEO and co-founder, magicpin.
